So sorry for the lack of updates! I feel bad because I never posted very much while I still had the Paul Wright layout, but I was beginning to feel a little bored, and I remembered I made this Krystal Meyers layout quite a while ago, so I had to make some kind of update. Hope you like it! I don't normally use the color purple for my layouts, but I like the way this one came out...more of a "smokey" purple, if you know what I mean.
Well, my mom and I took a "mini vacation" of sorts a few days ago. It was great! We were planning on taking a trip to Williamsburg, but I came up with the crazy idea to have breakfast at Pocahontas Pancakes in Virginia Beach first, so we left the house at 6:00 on Tuesday morning, and had a very fun drive! I made a special CD mix for us to listen to on the way there (Doobie Brothers, Aretha Franklin and Heart for my mom, Abba and Ace Of Base for me), and that was great! Finally, we arrived at VA Beach, and breakfast was great (I got a pecan waffle, which was awesome). Afterwards, we chilled by the ocean for a while, where I found an interesting horseshoe crab in the sand (a dead one, I might add). Ok, I'll have to stop and take a second to explain that Spence (my sis) couldn't come; and, she really HATES crabs...she doesn't even like to look at pictures of them!...sorry, Spence ;-) So anyway, when I found the horseshoe crab and remembered how much Spence dislikes them, I reached for my cellphone (which has a camera), and decided I would take a picture of the crab, and send it to Spence in what my phone calls a "Pix Message." So, I started to compose the message, but before I actually put the picture in it, I was writing my caption, which said, "The horseshoe crab says hi!" (just my way of lovingly teasing my sister)...there was just one problem. I was done writing the caption, but before I was able to put the picture in, I accidentally pressed the "Send" button on my phone, and I freaked out when I realized I accidentally sent her a message that just said, "The horseshoe crab says hi!"...of course, that makes absolutely no sense without the picture. So, I immediately called her and told her what had just happened. We laughed it off, and afterwards had a very nice conversation (I missed her a lot). Well, I'm glad I got to explain things to her before she got a weird text message and couldn't figure out why I was telling her that a horseshoe crab wanted to say hi to her ;-D By the way, you can see the actual picture of the crab HERE. Lol.
So, after we had lunch at Zeroes (one of my favorites), we finally went up to Williamsburg and checked into the hotel. We didn't do much after that (it had been a long day), but we did go to the colonial area of Williamsburg for a little while. We went back to the hotel, I watched some TV, and even though it was only 9:00, I was far too tired to stay up any longer, so I turned off the TV and fell asleep immediately.
I woke up in the morning, feeling very cold (I was cold throughout the whole night, actually), but after a while I was fine again. We went to have the hotel's breakfast, and while I was there, I checked out a newspaper which had an article on the new season of Lost! I didn't read it all the way through because I didn't want to get totally spoiled (at the time I was reading it, the season wasn't to premier until later in the day), but what I did read was very good! We got to take the newspaper (it was free), and it has some great pictures in it, so eventually, I'll make some scans for all you Lost fans to enjoy! So anyway, at the end of the day (when we'd done enough in Colonial Williamsburg), we decided to head on home. In the car, I used our portable DVD player to watch some of The Fellowship Of The Ring (one of the Lord Of The Rings movies, for those of you who don't know). It was really nice to see that again! The LOTR movies have to be the most beautiful movies I've ever seen, so I don't watch them very often, because I don't want them to lose their spark. Every once in a while, it's nice to watch one and remember how great it was to see them in the theater...those are three experiences I'll never forget!
Now that I'm done talking about the "mini vacation", you can look at some random pictures I took while I was there!
Oh, of course, speaking of Lost...what did you think of the season premier? It wasn't quite as exciting as I expected, but it was still good! Remember the "If I want your advice, I'll ask for it" scene with Sawyer? I loved that! It just shows that he hasn't changed! ;-D Anyway, it was cool to find out Henry's real name, and Jack's flashbacks were really sad. Niece2 is also really interesting...she seems to act all sweet and gentile, but something about her doesn't seem quite right.
So, the Newsboys are releasing their new album, Go, on the 31st, and I can't wait to get ahold of it! It's really great. The first time I listened to the clips, I wasn't too impressed, because I was expecting it to sound exactly like their old music. But then, I remembered that every album is supposed to be different and have it's own feel, so I gave it a second chance, and loved it. You can listen to the clips HERE. All the songs are great, but my personal favorites are "Wherever We Go", "Something Beautiful", "In Wonder", "Your Love Is Better Than Life" (I love the way Paul almost raps some of the verses!), "Secret Kingdom", and my top favorite, "City To City", because of the major electro/disco influence (you know I'm a fan of electronic music). I love the beat, the synths, the vocals...everything about it! Anyway, I highly recommend the album, whether you're a Newsboys fan or not!

Crabs and lobsters are evil I tell you, evil! >:(
Wow, I had fun reading about that. hehe. I keep seeing commercials for Williamsburg, VA. Looks like a really nice place!
Thanks for the comments on my new layout.
What screen size do you use? See I use 1024 X 768 and in that resolution my site looks great but then I minimize to 800x60 and it doesn't look so good. What do you think?
It looks good I like purple!
