Update

Happy new year, people! So many things have happened this year, yet it feels like it's gone by so fast. All in all, I've had a good year. Christmas was great! Oh, I almost forgot...on my birthday, I got an iPod! Huge thanks to my family for that. Oh my gosh, it's awesome! I love having the ability to watch videos wherever I go...I already have a few episodes of Doctor Who on it :-) It's also great to have so much space, because on my regular MP3 player, I could never put on more than about 60-something songs. Earlier that day, I got to spend some time with Ashleigh and my nieces at Panera. Niece3 was so adorable...she was smiling the whole time (as usual), and she even offered me some of her crackers, but since they were a bit...umm...moist, I declined the offer and told her to keep them ;-) Wow...I can't believe she's going to be having her first birthday soon! Time flies by...

Oh, I can't forget to wish my mom a happy birthday! Mama - you mean more to me than you'll ever know. You do too much for me. I love you! Happy birthday!

This morning, I was very sad to wake up to the news of Phil Joel leaving the Newsboys. It was hard for me to take, since the Newsboys are my absolute favorite things that have anything to do with music, and I've always been so used to Phil being in the band. I really would feel better if the Newsboys just continued to be a four-piece rather than find a replacement for Phil. Thankfully, they ARE going to do that, at least for now. I'm guessing maybe Jeff will do the bass now? I guess Peter could do it too, but he already does rhythm guitar. Anyway, I'll miss Phil a lot, and I'm disappointed that I won't be seeing him at the concert (I'll be attending the Go tour in March), but I'll support him in whatever he does.
