Well, for about two weeks I've forgotten to mention any of my Flickr updates. So, since then, I've made about three pages worth of new photos, which you can see HERE. The photos consist of things like train tracks, ice cream, old paintings, stuffed animals (as in the type you find in a museum), etc. Enjoy :-)
So, last week, I made a visit to DC and dropped by a couple museums, one of which was a favorite of mine, the Museum Of Natural History. It was all very interesting, but the most interesting thing was undoubtedly the insect exhibit...oh, did I mention quite a few of the insects being displayed were alive? There was a woman who had a table, on top of which were a bunch of different little jars and cages. Inside those were some frightening and weird bugs. Everything from thick, green caterpillars to Madagascar hissing cockroaches. As fascinating as these things were, I didn't want to be too close when the woman would take them out of their cages. She took out the hissing cockroach..."Do you want to touch it?", she asked me while holding it at least one foot away from my face. I backed away a couple feet and calmly turned down the offer. After trying me, she went to a little girl that looked about about two years old...sure enough, the little girl went right for it, petting the cockroach, and then asking to hold it, enjoying the ticklish sensation of little legs crawling all over her...I have to admit, after seeing the bravery of that little girl, apart of me began to wish I had gone ahead and touched the cockroach. Not because I wanted to prove anything about myself, but because I saw how she seemed to find joy in trying something new and mysterious. It seems like some little kids are so ready to try things they've never tried before, because they can't wait to solve all the mysteries. If only things could still be that way when you get older.
So, the other night, I was on iTunes and got a couple songs from TobyMac's latest album, Portable Sounds. Although I am a fan of Toby, I never took much time to check out the album. Two of the songs I got were "No Ordinary Love" and "I'm For You"...I never realized just what awesome stuff was on the album! It amazes me how Toby seems to grow with every album, spiritually, lyrically and musically. "I'm For You" is a seriously catchy, radio-ready song that expresses sincere love and devotion to a person. "No Ordinary Love" is a nice, grooving track that tells about the excitement and delight of knowing Jesus. Both of them are extremely excellent, but since my personal favorite is "I'm For You," I've put it in the Random Song page for your listening pleasure. Go buy the album at the closest store you have, or buy your favorite individual tracks at iTunes...you'll love it!

1. Your Flickr user name reminded me of the Stellar Kart song "Tree Climber." I must say... that is one of the most random songs I've ever heard. haha.. Nice pics by the way!
2. Next time you go to a major concert, try getting tickets from iTickets instead of Ticketmaster. ;) (Just a humble, yet very awesome suggestion.)
3. I have a friend who went to that museum in DC, and told me about all the insects. I'd love to go someday.
Yeah, I've been listening to Toby quite a bit too, and I realized the same thing. He gets better and better. Very amazing and talanted. One of my friends doesn't like his music all that much, and I thought "what? Not like Tobymac!!!" It was a new thought (:
I love you, and am praying for your family.
