A Simple Scandinavian Christmas

Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas!! Family is on their way here now, so I thought I’d take a few moments to share a glimpse of our Christmasy home before they arrive. 🙂 This was my first time decorating for Christmas, and it was a ball! I ended up going with a simple scandinavian lodge-like theme since we hardly had any decorations, and I didn’t want to have to buy a bunch of them at full price! 😉 (Also… can’t wait to hit up the post-Christmas decor sales!!)

The Target dollar spot was a huge hit for Christmas decor this year with little skis, trees, and random buffalo check items. LOVED it. But then again….what is not to love about Target??

Another favorite spot for finding inexpensive decor this year was Menards! Yes, so random, I know. I loved the stockings I got for 50% off and the tiny brush trees that I used to but in various cloches around the house. A simple way to add some seasonal detail! And the best part is that they can stay up even after Christmas. 😉

My good friend Whitney over at The Small Things blog inspired this chicken-wire Christmas card holder, and I’m loving it! (If you haven’t already, you must go over to her blog and to see her beautiful home decked out for Christmas! She is so creative and has impeccable taste. I promise you won’t be disappointed!)

Well, that’s all for this year folks! I hope that you are anticipating a week full of family, friends, memories and laughter! I’d love to see some snapshots of your own Christmasy homes! Post a photo and tag @graceunmeasuredblog on Instagram. I would love to see all of your creativity! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

xx, Julia 🙂
